Dogs Judge
My thanks go to both the society for inviting me and the exhibitors for a most pleasing entry in both Quality and numbers. Not forgetting my stewards who kept me topped up with hot drinks as we Were next to an open door.
Minor puppy (8-2) well, what a super way to start the day, a class of truly promising pups who will Change places many times.
1st tempest’s adoradane summer sunshine, harl baby at just 6 months ,Lots to like he has enough length to his head, good for shoulder, bone and he has tidy feet. Elegant But with substance all through.
2nd donnelly & toohey’s primus breakin rules, 8 months fawn he has A super head for one so young he already has that look of dash and dare. He has good bodylines and Neat feet but to be picky he is a tad upright in pasterns.
3rd collett’s starlight cronos avec Foaldown.
Puppy (4-1)
1st collett’s foaldown secret tribute, wow, this 11 months pup has a fabulous head full Of expression, good length to his crested neck, excellent layback shoulder, good for bone, strong Quarters and using them well. Pleased that my co-judge was in complete agreement to award him Bpis. I shall keep an eye on him, he should do well.
2Nd donnelly & toohey’s primus breakin out, Litter brother to 2nd in previous class, heavier type, again a very pleasing head but shorter in neck,
Good depth of chest, plenty of bone and driving action.
3rd wheeler’s tamzdane oat of this swirled At debluka.
Junior (5-3)
1St bilelecka’s tenshi with red ribbon, a well-marked harle he is a heavy dog with a tad Too much flew on his strong head. He has loads of bone and an ample depth of chest, enough ribbing And enough tuck up. Moved well.
2nd mitchell’s oldcharm marcus at elsimba, a beautiful rich fawn Boy with a pleasing head and dark eye. He has correct angulation at both ends but he is a smidgen
Bum high. So disappointed to see that today he was favouring a leg.
Yearling (2)
1st bithell’s bourntwyn rags to riches, what an elegant fawn, so classy and up on his Toes. He has a good length to his expressive head, neat ears and a clean neck leading into well
Sloped shoulders and elbows tucked in. He has ample depth to his brisket and strength in his loin. He Drove off with his well-muscled, correctly angulated quarters, moving well and up on his cat like feet. I was very pleased to award him best dog but as my co judge and I couldn’t agree, on the referee’s Decision I’m pleased to say he took bis.
2nd maciejko’s rayjen backgammon, black, upstanding boy With a powerful head but a tad narrow in front and upright in shoulder plus a little straight in stifle And moving accordingly.
Novice (3-1 withdrawn) 1st kinsley’s mafimafi perfect timing for dainoak, blue, good head Proportions and ear set, clean neck, good layback and return of upper arm, depth ok strength in Quarters, moved with drive.
2nd pocock’s tamzdane tubby hubby, a lightly marked harle with the Most beautiful clear white, glossy coat. He has a masculine head but more drop of lip than I would Like. Well off for bone but very upright in pastern, his definitive musculature was rippling as he Moved.
Post graduate (1-1) abs
Limit (2)
1st mcgowan’s kinnegans twisted firestarter, upstanding fawn of what I would call “Old Fashioned” type. Good depth of chest and shoulder placement, sturdy all through, strong thighs, Moved well.
2nd bollon’s bandwar aces high, black, elegant boy, clean neck pleasing head, in profile Not enough depth and a little straight in stifle.
Open (2-1) 1
St bollon’s day sue born ready, harle who is quite substantial, not quite the detail in Head but a clean neck, shoulders ok, strong in loin, neat feet and strength in quarters but tail rather Low set. Happy boy who loved being here.
Special veteran (6yrs +) (1)
1st flanagan’s dainmajik dante for soupury, 8 ½ years mantle, thick set All through, a bit grey around the gills as one might expect at this age but good length and width in Head, depth chest, strong loin and moving like a youngster.
Special open brindle (2-2)
Special open fawn (1)
1st ingram’s dainmajik the wizard, splendid fawn in very good order, he is Nicely balanced. He has an expressive head with correct proportions, ample bone, to be picky Perhaps a smidgen more layback would be a plus but enough depth of chest and tuck up, well muscled thighs, cat feet and moving with plenty of drive. Res bd.
Special open black (3)
1St pepper’s danemore black watch for sarawen, what a cracking black, such An eye catcher. Good head proportions & ear set, clean crested neck, elegant all through. He has Well-muscled quarters and good ribbing, all topped off with a gleaming coat.
2nd b aces high.
3rd r Backgammon.
Special open blue (2)
1st pepper’s sarawen archdeacon,
2nd simpson’s renescent reyt good, not Much between these two, 1st was tighter in elbow and stronger in head, but preferred topline of 2. Both had plenty of bone, good depth of chest and well-muscled up. Two very nice dogs.
Special open harlequin (2)
1st pocock’s tamzdane oh my apple pie jw, oh my indeed as if there was An award for best movement this boy would have won it with his lithe springy action. Simply poetry In motion he was a joy to watch. With super bodylines and a good markings he fits the standard so Well, but for me a tad more length to his head would have completed the picture. 2nd t red ribbon.
Special open mantle (1) 1st kelleway’s damarkann marquisite, upstanding male with a masculine Head but not overdone, good front angulation, depth of chest, strong rear end but would prefer a Little more “oomph “on the move .

Bitches Judge
Thank you very much for this judging appointment. There were some very nice bitches to go over and some promising youngsters. The flooring at this venue was a little bit slippy for a large breed and this affected some of the Danes on the day. That being said some of the Danes took it in their stride.
Minor puppy bitch (8/5 )
1—Zefathers sweet child o’mine a 6 month old fawn bitch from this well known kennel. Correct head planes, good length of muzzle, dark mask and dark eyes with good ear carriage. Clean neck into good shoulders with a very mature chest for a baby of this age. Good bone and feet and very well balanced for a puppy of this age. Moved well. BPB
2—Axeford rising sun over preveli. Another very nice 6 month old fawn puppy bitch from this well known kennel. Paler in colour than the first but again correct head planes with a good depth of muzzle, dark mask and dark eyes. She used her ears well and was very pleased with herself. Lovely to see. She had a very clean neck with plenty of bone and had a bigger frame than the first and so not quite as mature. She moved well for such a young puppy and should have a bright future.
Puppy bitch (7/3)
1—Ravendane Elphaba of Harvaxe. An elegant stunning 9 month old Harlequin bitch from this well known kennel.Well marked harlequin with good head planes, correct scissor bite, dark eyes and good ear carriage. Very clean neck which flows into her front assembly, and she just needs to mature and deepen but she has a good outline. When she moves she drives with her hocks and she will have a very powerful fluid movement. She strongly reminds me of the owners CH bitch. Well handled.
2—Empress Elvira v Rosherta (imp NLD ) A 10 month old black bitch built on very strong lines. Pure black colour with dark eyes. Very good head with correct head planes and a good length and depth of muzzle. She used her ears well and she had a very clean neck which flowed into a very strong body with plenty of bone but still on feminine lines. Very well bodied for a puppy of this age just lost out on movement to the first placed. Well handled.
Junior bitch ( 6/4)
1—Jutlanders are you ready ( imp DEN ) A 13 month old fawn bitch with a good head, good length and depth of muzzle, dark eyes and correct ear carriage. good depth and breadth of chest for such a young lady, plenty of bone, good pasterns and tight feet. Good topline and very well bodied for such a youngster. Very well put together and she moved fluidly. Well handled. Had the pleasure of seeing her mother in Denmark and this girl is even better. Seriously considered her and she will get better with age.
2—Dornoir Luciana A 14 month old feminine blue bitch of a very good colour. Correct head planes, with a good length and breadth of muzzle. Dark eyes and good ear carriage, her head flows into a good clean neck which goes into a correct front assembly. Plenty of bone, and tight feet and a flowing topline. Once she settles down she has some very nice fluid movement. Well handled.
Yearling bitch ( 2/0)
1—CH Bourntwyn by my side. An elegant fawn bitch with a stunning head piece. Long muzzle and depth with correct scissor bite, dark eyes and good ear carriage that she uses to her advantage. This head piece is attached to a very clean strong neck which flows into a correct front assembly. Well sprung ribs and straight bone with flat pasterns and tight feet. Good topline and powerful movement with a good croup.Well muscled at the rear with a well defined second thigh which showed when she drove well with her hocks. Good croup and rear angulation. A lovely example of the breed and a well deserved CH and one that I have admired from the ringside. Well handled. RBB.
2—Zefathers what it takes JW. Fawn bitch with correct head planes, and dark eye. Well bodied for her age with a powerful but feminine outline. Shorter coupled than the first placed with a good topline. Nice straight bone with flat pasterns and tight feet. Good angulation with well let down hocks which she used to her advantage when she moved.Well muscled at the rear with a good croup. Another lovely example of the breed.
Novice bitch ( 1/0)
1— Landgraf Maureen OHara .Stood alone in this class but well deserved. Harlequin girl with a good length of foreface, clean muzzle with dark eyes and good ear carriage. This flows into a clean neck and good front assembly with well laid shoulders and well sprung ribs. Stunning colour on this girl with a pure white background and large black markings. Straight bone with flat pasterns and tight feet. Good topline and tuck up good rear angulation on this girl. Maturing well in body but gave her handler a hard time. Once she settles down she will do well.
Postgraduate bitch ( 0/0 )
Limit bitch ( 5/3 )
1—-Garsak Wild at heart at Danehaven .Fawn bitch with a dark mask. Powerful but feminine girl. Good length of muzzle with dark eyes and well set ears which she used to her advantage.Very expressive with a look of dash and daring. Clean neck which flows into a powerful front assembly with a broad chest and shoulders well formed with a short upper arm. Well sprung ribs with a strong loin and good croup with a powerfully muscled rear end with a good croup and good rear angulation. She really came into her own when she moved as her action was lithe springy and free. She displayed good reach from the front when she moved and powered away from the rear with driving action from the hocks and carried her head high. The handler informed me that this Dane is fed WAG A LOT hence her non stop tail. I believe her. Loved this girl. BB and RBIS. Well handled.
2—Dainoak Agent Provocateur.Blue bitch of a nice solid colour. Stronger type than the first with a very good head with a good length of muzzle, dark eyes and correct ear carriage. Clean neck flows into a good front assembly with straight bone, flat pasterns and tight feet. Shorter coupled than the first place with well sprung ribs and good rear angulation. Moved well just unlucky to meet the first placed. Well handled.
Open bitch ( 3/2 )
1— CH Zefather crazy diamond for Verano .Fawn bitch with a dark mask. Lovely head piece on this girl with a good length of muzzle and dark eyes and correct ear carriage giving that typical dane expression. Clean neck which flows into a stunning front assembly with well set shoulders with a short upper arm. Well sprung ribs and a good topline. Good bone and flat pasterns and tight feet and well let down hocks. Compact bitch but beautifully presented and one that I have admired from the ring side. She did not disappoint and moved well and is a well deserved CH. Well handled and one that I seriously considered in the line up.
Special Veteran bitch ( 3/0 )
Always my favourite class at a show. Just wish that I could give a first place to them all.
1—Dainmajik the Sorceress ShCM . Shown in beautiful condition. A strong but feminine rich red fawn bitch. Good head on this girl with a good length and depth of muzzle. Dark eyes and good ear carriage to give her a lovely expression. Her neck flows into a good front assembly with correct shoulder placement and depth of chest. Correct bone and flat pasterns with tight feet. Well sprung ribs, strong loin and good croup. At 7 and a half years of age she drove well from her hocks and moves very well. I can see why she has won RCC’S as a veteran. A credit to her owner and breeder. Loved her.
2—Jaydania Georgia of Bengrafton ShCM. A 6 and a half year old fawn. A paler fawn than the first placed but a very good head assembly with a good length and depth of muzzle with dark eyes and good ear carriage. Her neck flows into a deep chest with good front assembly. Well bodied, good bone and tight feet. Well sprung ribs and a good top line. Moved well. A credit to her owners.Unlucky to meet the first placed.
Special open Brindle bitch ( 2/0 )
Special open Fawn bitch ( 2/2 )
Two very nice bitches in this class.
1—Garsak Wild at Heart at Danehaven. Previously seen. Same remarks apply. Winner of Limit bitch. She won this class on her powerful movement with excellent reach and drive as she covers the ground.
2—Samdice in your Honor ( AI ) Fawn bitch with a dark mask and a lovely headpiece on this girl. Good length and breadth of muzzle with dark eyes and excellent ear carriage giving her a very feminine look. Clean powerful neck into a good front assembly with a good depth and breadth of chest. Straight bone and pasterns.Beautifully bodied with a powerful but still feminine frame. Short coupled with well sprung ribs and a strong loin. Good rear angulation with powerful driving action from her hocks and a well defined second thigh. Really liked her just unlucky to meet the first.
Special open Black bitch ( 5/3 )
1—Casablanca Perseidy Kasjopei
Compact black bitch with a very feminine headpiece with the darkest of eyes and a good length and breadth of muzzle giving her a beautiful soft expression. Good solid black colour with a clean neck going into a good front assembly with a good lay of shoulder and short upper arms. Straight bone with flat pasterns and tight feet. Good spring of rib and a decent topline with a correct croup and rear angulation. She still needs to body up and mature but this will come in time. When she moves she comes into her own with very fluid reach and drive in her movement. Will have a bright future she just needs more time.
2—Renescent Miss Naughty. Stronger black bitch with a strong head with a good length and breadth of muzzle with dark eyes and good ear carriage. Clean neck going into a decent front with good lay of shoulder and straight bone, with flat pasterns and tight feet. Very mature in body with a good topline and powerful rear end. She drove well from the hocks but I just preferred the movement of my first place.
Special open Blue bitch ( 1/1 )
Special open Harlequin bitch ( 3/2 )
1—Tamzdane cake my day. A really well marked Harlequin girl from this well known kennel. Solid white background with big black patches . Good length and breadth of muzzle with dark eyes and good ear carriage which she used to her full advantage to give a very alert expression. Beautifully put together with a strong powerful neck flowing into a strong front assembly with correct lay of shoulder and a good depth and breadth of her chest. Straight bone , flat pasterns and tight feet. Well sprung ribs , short coupled and with a good topline and a strong loin. Good rear angulation and hocks parallel to the ground which she used well on the move. Shown to perfection and one that I really liked.
Special open Mantle bitch. ( 1/1). Tamzdane Bohemian Raspberry at Ravendane. Another dane from this well known kennel and a classically marked mantle bitch with a full white colour collar, markings on feet, tip of tail etc.. Well bodied with a clean neck which flows into a decent front assembly. Good bone, flat pasterns and tight feet. Short coupled with well sprung ribs and a strong loin. Very eye catching and she will do well.
